Student Visa Instructions

After you reserve your place at Cornell, the required forms and instructions to apply for an I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for a Student Status Visa) will be available at your application status page. 

Check Your To-Do List

Visit newstudents.cornell.edu to find additional information regarding your enrollment. The website features your To-Do List, the housing and dining applications, health history form, bursar procedures and other key information.

Resources for International Students

• If you don’t know the procedure in your country to apply for a U.S. Visa, go to https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas.html. 
• Prepare is the Office of Global Learning's pre-orientation program for international first-year and transfer undergraduates. It gives you an early start on your Cornell experience by introducing you to important resources for international students and helping you make friends from around the world.
• Pre-arrival Information for New International Students – Learn about the visa process, traveling to campus, student check-in and what to do your first week on campus.
• The Office of Global Learning is a valuable resource to help students from around the world thrive at Cornell.
